I’m Bored Jar

When you are at home with your Little Pickles how often do you hear I’m bored? If your anything like me pretty often. During this extended time at home with more children than average, 4 school aged children. So I have decided to create an I’m Bored Jar. The idea of the jar is to give the kids ideas of activities they can do, so independently or with an adult.

What you need

  • An Empty Jar
  • Lolly Sticks or Stiff Card would work too
  • Ribbon or something to decorate the jar
  • A sharpie or any long lasting pen

Here are the activities included in our jar

  • Play a board game
  • Make a treasure map
  • Do a puzzle
  • Watch a movie
  • Play cafes
  • Do a bounce-a-thon on the trampoline

Also as I’m a bit of a tough mum I have added a few curve balls, to help me around the house as the kids are older now.

Chores

  • Hoover the stairs (we have a handheld vacuum for this)
  • Tidy your room
  • Pair the odd socks (we have a bag full!!!)
  • Change your bed
  • Tidy the bookcase
  • Unpack or pack the dishwasher

I hope these give you some ideas of how to keep your Little Pickles entertained without spending a penny. You never know you might even get five minutes of peace to enjoy a cuppa.

Thanks for reading
