FAQs for sellers
February 9, 2022
Thinking of selling with us at one of our nearly new sales but have a question, here are our FAQs for sellers that should help, but if you have another question please don’t hesitate to ask.
Questions
- How do I book a sellers space? – All upcoming markets are listed on our website and you can book directly there
- Can I share a table with a friend? – Absolutely! Just bear in mind how much stock each of you will be bringing as your table will be 6ft in length. If you both have a lot to sell you could always book 2 tables and contact the market organiser before market day to ask if you can have tables reserved next to each other.
- How big will my table/space be? – If the venue has tables they are usually 5 or 6ft and you’ll have approx. 3ft to the side of your table to display large items/clothes rails. Some of our market venues do not provide tables meaning you will need to bring your own, if this is the case we request that the table you bring is not over 6ft.
- What can I sell? – Most things including but not limited to, maternity wear, toys, clothes and equipment. Please ensure items are clean, complete and in full working order. Not sure on something you’ve got to sell just ask.
- What is the difference between Little Pickles Markets and Bigger Pickles Markets? – Little Pickles is for items from maternity up to pre-school, Bigger Pickles is for items suitable for children 3 years plus up through primary years.
- Can I bring someone to help? – Yes of course but we usually advise a maximum of 2 adults per sellers space.
- Do I have to price my own items? – How to present your stock and at what price is completely your choice. You will receive a Seller’s Pack at least 10 days prior to the market which will contain full details regarding the day including set-up times, parking, organiser contact details and also a few tips on how to prepare for the market. If you have never been to a market before you could always pop along to another one locally to get some tips and see how others are displaying items
And a few more questions
- Do you supply clothes rails? – We do not supply clothes rails and you will need to bring your own should you wish to use one. If you don’t have one, ask your friends and family to see if you can borrow one or why not bring a clothes airer and hang clothes that way?
- What’s the difference between a Nearly New table and Business table? – A Nearly New table is for families wanting to sell their child’s nearly new items. This can be anything used during pregnancy (i.e maternity wear, birth balls, books etc) to 8 years of age. A business table is aimed at those trading as a business and who will continue to get business from our buyers after the market has finished.
