Individuality Swimming

Individuality Swimming is our Gold Sponsor for our Bump, Baby & Child Show on 11th June 2023, 11am-2pm at The Village Hotel, Bournemouth.

Individuality Swimming and Fitness was founded by our director Kristin Maguire. Being an ex-County level swimmer and learning her trade through assisting and teaching at local leisure centres, it was clear that swimming was more than just a job for Kristin. In 2002 Individuality Swimming was created to give swimmers the opportunity to learn in a fun, safe environment in small groups and private lessons where individuals can learn at their own pace. Our teachers all have unique individual teaching styles which we can match to any swimmers personal needs.

Since 2002 Individuality has not only seen 1000’s of swimmer through it’s doors, but also seen swimmers progressing to Regional and National standard competitive swimmers. We have also seen many of our swimmers progressing through our classes from complete Non Swimmers to become Teaching assistants and Swimming Instructors too. This we are most proud of, as for us Swimming is not just a life skill, but also a passion with endless possibilities including the most rewarding career path.

In 2018 we became an Approved STA Training Centre giving our staff and local people the opportunity to train to become Swimming Teachers, so far to date having trained over 65 new teachers.

Our mission is to ensure everyone from 6 weeks to 99 years of age has the opportunity to learn in an environment best suited to them, and that in the future they will all come to love being in and around the water as much as we do.
